In the chronicles by an Egyptian priest (known as Moses in the Old Testament), documented modern war and other future historical events and people have been mistakenly perceived to be about his own past events. Moses had no comprehension that the information from the modern cd-roms and history books being shown to him by a time traveller (perceived by him to be God's 'messenger') were about the distant future and not from his contemporary past.
